Guidelines for Abstract Submission

        Abstracts for   MED & BLACK SEA BEACHES 2002, International MEDCOAST Workshop must be submitted no later than 15 April 2002, to MEDCOAST Secretariat. They should be limited to two pages, double spaced, and list the names, titles, affiliations, mailing addresses, telephone and facsimile numbers and e-mail addresses of each author.

        Abstracts should summerize the major theme, findings and conclusions of the paper to be presented in the workshop. The last name of each author and co-author, should be underlined. In the upper right hand corner of the first page, one of the topics of  MED & BLACK SEA BEACHES 2002 Workshop which is addressed by your paper, must be indicated. If necessary, you may use another topic not on the list. In case the paper is co-authored, please indicate at the end of the abstract, the person who will present the paper at the workshop.

        Abstracts may be submitted by mail, e-mail or fax (see the end of the page for postal and e-mail addresses and the fax number).

        Notification of acceptance of the paper presentation, together with format for preparation of manuscripts and submission instructions, will be mailed, e-mailed or sent by fax to the first authors from MEDCOAST Secretariat by 30 April 2002. The final camera-ready paper, prepared in full accordance with the instructions, will be required by 31 July 2002, in hard copy and in a diskette or CD from accepted authors for inclusion in the proceedings.

        The Executive Program Committee and MEDCOAST Secretariat will accept or reject papers based on the information in the abstracts and will assign accepted papers to appropriate sessions.

        $ 700 afterwards

Inclusive of accommodation in a single room up to 5 nights at Pine Bay Holiday Resort (all-inclusive):

        $ 800 if paid before August 31, 2002

        $ 900 afterwards

The registration fee includes a set of proceedings, coffee and refreshments, welcome cocktail, half-day mid conference excursion and the closing banquet.

Registration fee only (exclusive of all-inclusive accommodation):

        $ 100 if paid before August 31, 2002

        $ 150 afterwards

Inclusive of accommodation in a double room up to 5 nights at Pine Bay Holiday Resort, (all-inclusive):

17:30 Short boat trip to Koyceğiz Lake and welcome drinks

20:00 Dinner at the Hotel

28 October, Monday

10:00 Boat trip to Dalyan Specially Protected Area (Kaunos ruins, Dalyan Wetlands, Candir Village and Turtle – Loggerhead - Nesting Beach - a very beautiful sand spit). Barbecue lunch at the beach

16:00 Return to Dalyan and free time in the town

20:00 Dinner in Dalyan

29 October Tuesday

09:00 Visit to the site of the future MEDCOAST Centre and the MEDHOUSE by car

12:00 Lunch in a special restaurant

14:00 Return to Pine Beach Resort Hotel

Notes on Trip:

The fee for the two-day trip is 150 US Dollars or Euros. The fee includes all travel costs (car and boat), hotel accommodation for two nights, two breakfasts, and four meals (except drinks).

For those participants joining the post-conference tour, the registration fee includes the last night (29 October) accommodation in the Pine Beach Resort Hotel. Transfer from the Hotel to the Adnan Menderes Airport in Izmir will be arranged for the whole group in the morning of October 30.
