visit on the Romanian beaches are beach erosion, safety of users and the
low level of attractiveness of these beaches. Erdal Ozhan said that
the Romanian coastal zone has need a strong attention regarding coastal
management. " We have been shocked of the presence of Petromar properties
on the Eforie beach, the beach was enclosed by fences, which obstructing
the access on the beach. We consider that the construction of these buildings
on the beach was an unsuitable decision, for the beaches which
should be protected” said Erdal Ozhan.
Yesterday at the press conference, the foreigner specialists emphasized
the negative effect of buildings on the beach, buildings which cannot justify
their presence on the beach. Another problem perceived have been the insufficiently
treated domestic wastewater discharge into the sea. Roger Charlier,

“The solution to solve the problems regarding beach management is that
the beaches should be managed by the local authorities or by an autonomy
which deal only with this matters, as others countries did.” Medcoast
